 10-23-24   THOUGHTS

Our reading this morning is a chaining together of several most powerful passages from God!
The what, the who and the why of all eternity can be found in them.  The fulness of our JOY is God’s desire for us.  It’s called “the message” by John!   “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”  The beginning, the end and the sense, is found in these words!

John 1:1    In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14   And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Heb 1:1-3   God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,  2  in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. 3  And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
1John 1:1-5    That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2  (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3  That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4  And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. 5  This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

My Prayer:
Thank you, O God, for the wonderful revealing of Your message of salvation. Thank You for Jesus.  Years of prophecy culminated in Messiah, our Savior.  We praise You, Father God.  Thank You for light that overcomes darkness.  Help us to bear  witness of these things!  May the hope of glory be the joy of our hearts and lips.   In the name of our eternal Savior,    Amen.
